    Additional Notes

    Choosing A Cemetery:

When finding a cemetery, families tend to choose one that is close to where they live. Council-owned cemeteries and cemeteries outside of Sydney tend to be the least expensive option.

    Payment of cemetery fees:

Interment / grave-digging and burial plot are payable to the cemetery directly by the family.

    Service within a church premises:

If a funeral takes place in a church building, a donation to the church may be requested for use of the premises. This is in addition to the donation for the person officiating.

    Above-ground burial fees:

When interment is in a family crypt or mausoleum, there are specific additional fees that apply.

Whilst a Richmond coffin can be used, a solid hardwood timber coffin such as a Sienna coffin is recommended for a greater assurance of longevity - see our coffin and casket catalogue here. Cemetery fees vary significantly.
